Yours Truly had the pleasure of playing for Armand & Daphne at the impeccable Traders Hotel where the lovely couple had a very personal celebration to mark their journey as husband and wife.

The second of 3 trans-continental weddings, the Singapore party was a befitting cross between traditional and modern elements.

Guests from Malaysia, Australia and even Germany were in attendance, as a testament to the couple's friendships.

To complete the occasion, Daniel (guitar), Ein Ein (keyboard) and I (Vox) played from the couple's wish list, which read like the most romantic love songs of modern music, including a special dedication to the Bride's best friends - a solo version of the Mandarin duet "Ni Zui Zhen Gui".



But it as the march in song that made the night truly special. As per the couple's request, our band put together a rendition of hawaiian singer Daniel Ho's original composition, simply entitled "I Do".

It was a clean piece with meaningful lyrics that were surely representative of the couple's mutual love and we were proud to be able to make it happen for them.

Hi Ginny,

I just want to drop a note to say a big Thank You to Dawn, Ein Ein and Daniel. They did a fantastic job at our Wedding Reception at Traders Hotel on the 1st of May 2009. It was truly magical having to walk in to the gorgeous voice of Dawn singing "I do" composed by Daniel Ho. Armand and I fell in love with that song and we knew exactly that was what we wanted for our march in and the band exceeded our expectations on how they have arranged the composition.

Throughout that evening, the band entertained our guests with wonderful jazz and contemporary tunes. Our guests said having the band contributed to the cosy intimate atmosphere and it stood out from other weddings they have attended. I am also impressed with how they have worked with my best friends when they decided to throw a surprise song presentation.

A huge thank you also to you Ginny for taking the time out to meet with us (on our rushed schedule during our whirlwind planning trips to SG/KL) and the countless emails and advice you have given us. We really appreciate the band going the extra mile so that our wedding can be even more special.

Certainly when we have other gatherings and functions, Yours Truly will be on the top of our minds to have or to recommend to our family and friends!

On behalf of joeann, we would like to thank you for a stellar performance on our big day. thank you for making those rocky songs come true. the band was brillant. we are totally lost for words during the first and second march in as we are soaking into the songs that were played at that moment. it was truly fortunate for us to have met you, and have you and your band to be part of our eternal celebration.
It was perfect for the both of us, as joeann is the rocker chick and I am the sentimental one. We were really entrigue by how much omph the songs had, especially the march in songs. Our phones have been ringing non stop since sunday enquiring about yours truly. It was a blast. More importantly having u as the lead singer was our honour despite your busy schedule around the world.

This was in the spacious and grand Orchard Hotel Grand Ballroom, and the 1st time we played songs like Won't Go Home Without You by Maroon 5, Sweet Child of Mine by Guns and Roses.



We rocked Can't Take My Eyes Off You as the 1st March In, and 今天你要嫁给我 as the 2nd March In, which was the couple's favourite! :)



Yours Truly emcee Kitty also brought much joy to the party :)

Shiyi was very nervous when rehearsing with us during soundcheck,
he had planned to surprise Pauline by singing for their 2nd march in.

maybe he wouldn't be able to hear the keyboard from outside the doors,
maybe he would come in at the wrong timing, wrong key etc...

but hey, you're playing with a live musician, an experienced one!
Ein Ein would definitely be able to adapt should there be any problems :)

..... and nothing went wrong, it was absolutely perfect.

He sang 做你的男人, and it was a PERFECT surprise, and the lyrics of the song are classic.
i was soo touched!

it was even sweeter for me to find out later from Pauline
that just before she entered the ballroom,
she heard the music playing for her 2nd march in,
and was still thinking to herself: Why is Kewei not playing my selected song???

That was until Shiyi started singing - she was completely caught off guard!



I also sang 神阿救救我吧 especially for Shiyi's single friends!

Before he met Pauline, Shiyi was forced to sing this song everytime during KTV sessions, being the only single guy in his group of friends.

From this night onwards, he would no longer have to sing this song, ever again!

I also specially learnt this song Imagine Me Without You for him :)

and it must be one of the weddings we sang the most duets at!

Valerie & Einstien's Wedding @ Blissgarden Restaurant, Expo

This celebration was a huge one with 70 tables, and a joyous, fun-filled affair with the affable bride and groom :)

Before the couple stepped into the room, both of their parents had a grand march in to our live 甜蜜蜜, which was a first I've seen! :)

We sang special songs for Mother's Day such as A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men and even 母亲 by 黎瑞恩!

Alfred even sang a ditty by 阿牛 called 留连歌儿一家唱, specially dedicated to Valerie's father.
