Hi Kewei,
Attached are photos taken during the wedding.
Yes, we had a fun and happy wedding! Please send my "Thank you" to Dawn and the 2 musicians for their lovely songs and the beautiful music performed during my wedding. Their music has lit up the whole atmosphere. Simply love it!
Hi kewei and kexin, thank you for your effort and commitment. You did a great job last night! Help me send my gratitude to einein & leon!
Bryan was one of the funniest and nicest groom I have ever met! His speech was not your average tear-jerking love profession, yet he hit the right spot with his deadpan humour and sent his wife into crying fits, quote Bryan "她哭到mascara变成lipstick". hahaha
With such humour, you can guess the kind of pranks the sisters made him go through during the morning of fetching the bride... let's just say some pole dancing in bikini was involved in the process hahaa and just when he thought everything was over during the wedding dinner, his brothers stopped him from going offstage after his speech and showed him this video...
Everyone burst out in laughter at this ridiculous Indian Thriller dance sequence and Bryan was tasked to learn the dance on the spot and groove to the music! hahaha and the best part was that the brothers broke down the steps into 5 easy sequence, each presented in slow-motion by a home-made instruction video so that it was easier for Bryan to learn..
and he did it! he gamely did the sequence TWICE hahahaha
GREAT JOB BRYAN! i couldn't stop praising him afterwards. it was indeed courageous to have showcased his "talents" in front of his in-laws!
The night's repertoire consisted of mainly chinese duets like 王力宏& 張靓穎 另一個天堂, JJ and ah sa - 小酒... Coincidentally (or not), the wedding night was also Caryn's birthday (double happiness!) so we led the whole ballroom into singing a happy birthday song for the birthday bride!
The wedding night was really fun and thank you Bryan for being so understanding about the miscommunication. We were glad it turned out fine in the end and we were really touched by your sincerity! Wishing you blissful marriage ahead!
Tis the season to be jolly, and what better way to celebrate than to have a Christmas Party! Yours Truly delighted the guests at this company Christmas dinner party with holiday favourites like Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells, and Let it Snow - with a jazzy twist of course :)
Lineup: Dawn - Vox Jordan - Keys Fatt - Bass Leo - Sax
Yours Truly had the pleasure of playing for Armand & Daphne at the impeccable Traders Hotel where the lovely couple had a very personal celebration to mark their journey as husband and wife.
The second of 3 trans-continental weddings, the Singapore party was a befitting cross between traditional and modern elements.
Guests from Malaysia, Australia and even Germany were in attendance, as a testament to the couple's friendships.
To complete the occasion, Daniel (guitar), Ein Ein (keyboard) and I (Vox) played from the couple's wish list, which read like the most romantic love songs of modern music, including a special dedication to the Bride's best friends - a solo version of the Mandarin duet "Ni Zui Zhen Gui".
But it as the march in song that made the night truly special. As per the couple's request, our band put together a rendition of hawaiian singer Daniel Ho's original composition, simply entitled "I Do".
It was a clean piece with meaningful lyrics that were surely representative of the couple's mutual love and we were proud to be able to make it happen for them.
Thank you Armand & Daphne!
From Armand and Daphne:
Hi Ginny,
I just want to drop a note to say a big Thank You to Dawn, Ein Ein and Daniel. They did a fantastic job at our Wedding Reception at Traders Hotel on the 1st of May 2009. It was truly magical having to walk in to the gorgeous voice of Dawn singing "I do" composed by Daniel Ho. Armand and I fell in love with that song and we knew exactly that was what we wanted for our march in and the band exceeded our expectations on how they have arranged the composition.
Throughout that evening, the band entertained our guests with wonderful jazz and contemporary tunes. Our guests said having the band contributed to the cosy intimate atmosphere and it stood out from other weddings they have attended. I am also impressed with how they have worked with my best friends when they decided to throw a surprise song presentation.
A huge thank you also to you Ginny for taking the time out to meet with us (on our rushed schedule during our whirlwind planning trips to SG/KL) and the countless emails and advice you have given us. We really appreciate the band going the extra mile so that our wedding can be even more special.
Certainly when we have other gatherings and functions, Yours Truly will be on the top of our minds to have or to recommend to our family and friends!
Garry and Shirley booked us long ago (about 6 months in advance) after they heard me at Balaclava (I used to perform there on Fridays during Happy Hour)
They had personalised chocolates as wedding favours, and also a pre-recorded wedding speech on video to thank their friends and family :) A good tip for those who might get the jitters before their big speech!
