Winston and Charmaine's Wedding @ Mandai Orchid Gardens

It was a lovely chinese wedding dinner
but with a little twist ;)

Photobucket
got the hint?

Yes, it was alfresco style amongst the greeneries
and beautiful orchids of pink and blue:D
It's no wonder everyone was snapping away,
trying to capture a little something of that perfect moment :)

Photobucket
family and friends gathered before the dinner...

well, how could we resist?

polaroid for instant happiness :D

One of the most amazing thing about Winston and Charmaine's wedding
was the detail.
The wedding gifts were little potted plants,
personalized with each and every single guests' name!

Photobucket

And guess what, the lights, the table cloth, the flower arrangements,
the lovely photo display hung at the cocktail area...

Photobucket

Everything was hand-made by their friends from law school in university!
Meet tutera team, Singapore style!

Yourstruly loves personal touches :)
Photobucket dedication-slips specially customized by us for Winston and Charmaine :)

and i especially love reading messages from friends and families...
sometimes they are naughty teasings,
other times they are sweet and heartwarming,
but always,
they go beyond mere words and signify a genuine happiness of seeing two become one :)

Before our second set started,
the couple's friends made their speeches...
I have to say, they were so hilarious!

I've never heard a more well-planned, witty speech
especially when both of Winston's buddy/best men spoke :D

"We did a lot of research for our wedding speech,
and we realise we were supposed to sing praises of Winston.
Unfortunately, we don't sing, and we dont lie."

They didn't hesistate to expose Winston's unglam past,
but at the end, they gave their most sincere and sweet blessings.

When it was Winston's turn to make his speech,
the romantic Winston ended his with a self-composed song :)

The night was filled with fun and laughter,
and i almost didn't want to leave...
but i had to end, and i did it with the perfect song,
"That's All" by Rod Stewart (no pun intended haha)

In the words of the groom's best men,
Charmaine and Winston, I wish you
"fun, laughter, and happily ever after" :)

Thanks to John Lim Photography for the lovelylovely photos!

World Golfer's Championship Gala Dinner @ Fullerton Hotel

Daniel, myself & Jeremy played at the Charity Gala Dinner for the World Golfers Championship Singapore 2008, held at the Fullerton Hotel.

I was really excited because this was my first time ever playing for royalty!
HRH Princess Brigitta of Sweden was the guest-of-honour at this sit down event
and her blush coloured sequin dress (and her very long title) took my breath away :)

It was a great honour to be able to sing for the Princess, the Ambassador from Sweden,
Mr Sven Tumba, founder of the Sven Tumba Education Fund - beneficiary of the night's Charity dinner,
as well as all the wonderful charitable guests that evening.

The set up was similar to the Mamma Mia Gala Premiere with Daniel on Guitar and Jeremy on percussion, but this time, our repertoire was made up of easy listening jazz/pop tunes such as Fly Me to the Moon and Can't Take My Eyes Off You.

We also did an Abba number as a nod to the Swedish links of the night's event.

We ended off the night with 'What a Wonderful World' to thank all the guests for chipping in at the Charity Gala Event,
making the world even more wonderful for the beneficiaries from the Sven Tumba Education Fund.

Eugene & Shuyun's Wedding @ Raffles Hotel

Photobucket

You guys were fantastic that day! without you my ROM would not have been that perfect. thanks dear :)

Shu Yun

I met up with the couple and their brother Youloong
a few days before the wedding at the Azimuth Watch Launch gig.
And they managed to catch a glimpse of the band's performance :)

The solemnization took place at Raffles Hotel Lawn
on a beautiful Sunday afternoon :)
Photobucket

I sang a couple of jazz numbers to set the ambience
as dear friends and relatives of Eugene and Shu Yun mingled around,
all ready to witness the union of the two very special people in their lives :)

I recalled as i was singing "Fly me to the moon",
a little girl ran around the lawn
just in front of the porch,
as his brother desperately tried to tame her down.
It was such a perfect scene,
almost one that you would find in the song "What a Wonderful World"!

Photobucket

Shu Yun was wearing a classy yet fun-loving
champagne-coloured dress,
it was GORGEOUS,
(unanimous votes from both ein and I)

Photobucket

Hand in hand, both Eugene and Shu Yun strode in casually
to the tunes of me singing L-O-V-E...
I swear I saw Shu Yun skipped a little!

So even though it rained after the ceremony,
it did not dampen our spirits and
everyone was blessed with showers of joy and laughter :)

Any joyous occasion would not be complete
Without some gastronomic treat :)
So immediately after, an intimate and cosy buffet lunch
Was held at the Casuarina ballroom,
Just a stone’s throw away from the lawn :)

Photobucket

How could we have missed out?
We performed our 2nd set there as well
This time with more jazzed-up mandarin classics like
月亮代表我的心,甜蜜蜜...

Thank you Eugene and Shu Yun for having us!
and thanks to youloong for being so nice to the band :)

Khee Wei & Junie's Wedding @ Grand Copthorne Waterfront

Photobucket
Daniel Purnomo on guitar
Kexin on vox

We had a secret date with Khee Wei just before the wedding started.

Photobucket

He was whisked away by his brothers into the ballroom
admist all the last minute preps
and Junie was told that he had to "settle some stuff" elsewhere

So settle he did with Daniel P and his guitar.

After the 2nd March-in, he promptly declared,
"I'm going to sing a song for Junie,
so for all of you out there who wanted to sabo me,
I surrender myself"

He held Junie's hands and gazed deep into her eyes
as he sang "Beautiful in my Eyes" by Joshua Kadison.

Photobucket

What can i say, an added personal touch is always a tear-jerker.

Khee Wei's youngest brother and his girlfriend also sang a lovely duet
"Way Back into Love" for their first march-in :)

Photobucket

I'm more than glad to help fulfill a special request :)
The couple dedicated "You raise me up" by Josh Groban
to their parents.

Thank you Khee Wei and Junie for sharing with us your big day!
