Little Cousin (extreme left) is my new best friend

Hi Kewei
Great to hear from u!
Have requested the pics from Bryan/Jean, shld receive them next week, will then send to u.

Anyway am v glad to have had u and Ein at our wedding!
You have no idea how many compliments you gals received! Certainly it would not have been the same had we just burned a CD
The only thing we regret is being away from the function room so often, could not be there long enuf to hear you gals belt out all the songs. The dedication slips are a nice touch too, we are definitely keeping the messages for memory's sake!

Have a blessed new yr! Hope to 'hear' and see you gals soon!
And btw, heard our little cousin 'molested' u while we were taking the group pic? Hahaa sorry abt that!

Cheers!
Belinda and Ivan

Post Christmas, we had so much fun at this wedding! :)

Belinda and Ivan had booked us long long time back,
and it was good to finally meet them!

His little cousin made my day, fussing around my laptop like my own Personal Assistant, checking out all the dedications that were passed to myself.

Their guests were also terribly enthusiastic with the many dedications,
and I believe it was the festive mood that was lingering in the air still :)

We also had a great time working with Aaron Lim as their videographer, and BryanJean Photography, after which we hung out for a fabulous supper! :)

Pictures courtesy of Aaron Lim, who is the videographer for the night! :)

Hi Kewei

Just wanted to say a really big Thank You to you and your band (sorry didn't manage to get the names of the guys) for such an amazing performance on Sunday!!! =) Our guests really loved your performance and we received so many compliments on how fantastic you guys were!! I was totally blown away when you started singing, too bad I couldn't be there throughout the two sets
:-(

Thanks for making the wedding so perfect!!!!!

All the best in your career and hope we'll have a chance to meet again *muacks*

Many thanks
Cheryl

We had so much fun at Cheryl and Raymond's wedding!

Selwyn played an awesome, pitch-perfect version of Say Yes for their march-in!

This should definitely be played more often! :D

Photobucket

Also, Matthew decided to bring along a guitar and strum a few tunes (even though he is mainly a keyboardist) and we even sung together for harmonies, for kicks :)

Photobucket

We also received so many requests from the guests!

Emily & Alex's Wedding @ Hyatt

Photobucket
Dawn on vocals, with Kangyang on guitar and Ivan on sax

What an awesome night!

As most of you reading would know, the seventh lunar month is generally considered an inauspicious month, which in turn translates into fewer weddings.

Alex & Emily's wedding last night was my first post seventh month wedding performance and it was definitely a good restart to the rest of the year.

Photobucket

I'll tell you a secret, I've never played at the Hyatt prior to last night.
But after last night's experience, I've definitely become a fan!
Walking into the Grand Ballroom on level 2, I was immediately put at ease by the atmostphere. But of course, what could be more important to our band than sound?
Long story short, I was loving the ballroom's sound system and from the crowd's reaction, I could tell that they were loving it too.

Photobucket

We had an inkling from Alex & Emily's song choices that they were definitely a funky couple.
But I was nonetheless struck by the bride's choice of a bright orange/black bare-back gown. Emily told me that she wanted something different and I think she definitely hit the right chord with that gutsy number!

Photobucket

We rocked to songs from Greenday (Good Riddance - Time of Your Life), Bryan Adams (Heaven) and Utada Hikaru (First Love) among others, in addition to some song requests of traditionally popular ditties like Wonderful Tonight and 甜蜜蜜.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Thank you Alex & Emily for having us be part of your special night, and also thank you to your wonderful crowd with their enthusiastic response and many many many requests!

Many thanks to Kelvin Joshua Lim of Avenue8 for your lovely pictures and compliments!

It's always a pleasure to work with them, I still remember meeting Kelvin for the first time at Chijmes, at CK and Michelle's wedding more than a year ago.

What a delightful coincidence! Looks like I'm a fan of yourstruly now more
than ever. haha ...
Hello Kewei, it's been a while! Hope to hear more of the
both of you soon! :D

Victor & Jess's Wedding @ Hyatt Hotel

Photobucket
from left to right:
Jeremy on drums, Alfred on Vox, Ein on keys, Victor and Jess!, Ginny the coordinator and Daniel on guitar :D

Defy conventions where Black meets Red.

Victor and Jess customized the Hyatt Ballroom
into a whirlwind splendour of
the mystic East and modern West.

It was just the PERFECT combination.

The minute I stepped into the ballroom,
I was immediately mesmerized by the vases of Red roses
placed on every single dinner table, draped in satin black cloth.
There were even spotlight casted on every vase!

Apart from the gorgeous decors,
the night was very special for Yourstruly
because the full band was involved!

Photobucket
during sound-check

We were pampered with a full stage to ourselves,
it was like a mini yourstruly concert! :D
The repertoire for the night was also really exciting,
with special requests from the lovely couple
to sing whatever we like!

This gave us so much room for creativity;
we turned solo songs into duet songs - Loving you,
We also specially chose some upbeat English numbers like
Fire - Babyface and Des'ree, which was such a HOTHOT duet
that got Victor and Jess twirling while they made their rounds to take photos. :D
Alfred's qing fei de yi was so infectious
that everyone started to sing along!

The party escalated when relatives and friends of the couple
started to gather around the floor and samba,
all thanks to besame mucho!
Daniel P jived it up into mexican/samba style and
no one could stay put to their seats.

Photobucket
daniel fierce as lightning

The result: request after request of salsa tunes (:

I told you it was a party!

Thank you Victor and Jess for being so understanding
and trusting towards YoursTruly!
It was our honour to be invited for your big day :)
Wishing you Love, Happiness and
most importantly, pitter patter of little feets!

Celeste & Benjamin's Wedding @ Hyatt Grand Ballroom

PhotobucketCeleste messaged me 2 weeks before her wedding:
Hi, my wedding singer backed out on me, may I know if you are available on 15 May to sing at my wedding?

In fact, the band (harp+vocals) was only confirmed 2 days before her wedding dinner,
but everything proceeded smoothly :)

Photobucket

She had helium-filled balloons around the stage,
whose satin strings added a lovely touch to the decor :)

This was also the 2nd time I saw concert-style confetti shooters onstage,
which exploded just as the champagne bottle was uncorked!
How's that for a celebration!
