Attached is the pics taken by CF Tien. Keep on going and Cheers!

Thanks Deborah and Ivan for inviting us to your party!

Check out Deborah's very pretty pink gown!

We also specially learned this song My Destiny for their 1st march-in :)
and Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You!
I know this is such a good oldie, but I never got chance to learn it!

The requests were also aplenty -
glad we could make everyone at the dinner happy!

Daniel & Wendy's Wedding @ Shangrila Island Ballroom

Photobucket
Hi Kewei,

Didn't get a chance to thank you for helping out with the jazz band. I thoroughly enjoyed the performances!

Your being there really made a difference to the whole wedding!

Daniel and Wendy were my schoolmates in JC,
and had been dating for 8 years before they finally tied the knot! :)

They selected a great mix of Shanghai jazz oldies and English jazz tunes,
and we had the privilege of performing to several distinguished guests,
including President Nathan himself, Mr Goh Chok Tong and several other Ministers :)

Photobucket
With the band -
Brandon on double bass,
Kewei on vox,
Daniel on guitar,
Jeremy on drums
Ivan on sax

Their march-in was a grand plan of having 5 friends singing 给我一个吻 acapella,
before the band joined in :)

And they played and sang Wang Lee Hom's 一首简单的歌 for their guests and family,
which I thought was a splendid song choice - it was simple, sweet and heartwarming :)

Music had always been a great part of their lives,
they were the Song ICs in Council in our JC -
Wendy was in the choir, while Daniel played in a band.

Photobucket
It was definitely an honour to play for their wedding!

Photobucket
Thanks once again to Willy Foo from Live!Studios for instant photocards,
that always brighten the faces of guests with big smiles :)

Photobucket
And ours, of course :)
PS. Sporting my new (henna) tattoo! :p

Chin Aik and Boon Hui's Wedding @ Swissotel

Photobucket
Jon Lim on Sax
Ein on Keys
Kexin on vox

Happy Nui Year!
Thanks for wedding band trios!
They had put up an excellent performance and I had received many positive responses from our guests!
We really like the 2nd March-In Song which Kexin had sang, it's very moving and lovely! Please thank them all on our behalf! =D

Boon Hui

I have to say, Boon Hui is easily one of the prettiest bride i've ever seen!
The bold yellow puffy gown and her fantastic figure speaks for themselves!

Cheeky Chin Aik spoke of giving his pretty wife "a good one tonight.....
I mean massage laaa."
LOL.
and Jon was infinitely amused by his joke.

Coincidentally, Jon also gave his "wife" a good one.... I mean his saxophone laa..
It was a SAXY solo of an andy lau classic - 你是我的女人 :)

I also specially learnt the song You Are My Angel (theme song from TVB Series 法證先鋒!) for their 2nd march-in :)

Photobucket
I was approached by a table of youngsters for a picture after our sets ended!

Photobucket
Caught in Candid :) Everyone looked so happy!

Cheers to Chin Aik's warmth towards the band
and to the table of darlings that made my day!

Special thanks to our own Jon and Liang Sia for the photos :D

Epson's CNY Company Dinner @ Orchard Hotel

Photobucket
Julia the coordinator, Kexin on Vox, Weiling on Er hu and Ian on Keys.

When it comes to CNY,
Epson sure knows how to set themselves in the mood :)

I travelled back to the 1970s
as I found myself surrounded by demure ladies clad in cheong sams and
gentlemen donned in 上海滩 scarfs and outfits!

Yes it was Epson's Spring dinner, Shanghai Night theme!

The ballroom was living it up,
with activities bustling around every corner.
There were old school candy stalls,
even a sand art shifu conducting life demonstations of his sand masterpiece!

Of course there was Yours Truly :)
We performed 2 sets of 7 Shanghai Jazz familiar tunes;
春風它吻上了我的臉, 今天不回家, 夜上海, 可愛的玫瑰花,
得不到的爱情, 月亮代表我的心, 夜来香.

We even threw in the Festive CNY song - 迎春花!

Wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year in Advance!

KeY and Zim's Solemnization @ the Arts House

Photobucket
From right to left:
Daniel on guitar, Sugie on Vox, Zim and KeY, Kexin on Vox and James on Keys :)

KeY (short for Ke Ying) is very special to Yours Truly because...
she is Kitty's (Yours Truly longstanding emcee) little cousin!
so watching KeY get married for her, is like seeing her own sister
tying the knot with another man, that bittersweet feeling of happiness!

Photobucket
Family Portrait! The lovely couple, Kitty and her brother.

The solemnization was held at the Arts House and boy was it busy in there!
A metal concert and a Chinese choral group were performing concurrently
at different venues within the Arts house,
but of course, nothing could stop the happy crowd from enjoying themselves!

During sound check...

Friends and relatives were all divided into different rooms
so KeY and Zim were busy scurrying around, entertaining different guests,
While Yours Truly had the honour of entertaining their friends!

The atmosphere was played up to a high
when Sugie called upon friends to sing up on stage with our live band!

Photobucket
The floor is opened, and one sporting friend came up for a song!

We even encouraged their friends to sabo KeY and Zim up for a love song.

Photobucket
Well, a song says a thousand words! What's more appropriate than 今天你要嫁给我? :)

Photobucket
Did i mention, they were sabo-ed... twice? haha

Their flamenco-alike outfits were also perfect for us
to request a dance number from them!

To end off the crazy night, Sugie and I sang the hot number by Lee Hom, 改變自己!

Thanks for being so sporting KeY and Zim!
And to all friends that sabo-ed them, you guys are true friends! hahaha
CONGRATS!

Jakob & Marie's Wedding @ The Regent, Tanglin Room

Photobucket
Kewei on vox, Ein on keyboard

Dear Kewei,

Sorry for the late reply, we've only recently received our photographs. We were very glad that you were able to perform at our wedding. All our guests enjoyed themselves very much, and a few even asked for your contact. Also thank you to Einein and you for learning the two march-in songs within such a short time! Both of you were fabulous! It's just a pity that we didn't have time to thank you properly and to actually enjoy most of your singing!

Good luck and all the best,
Jakob & Marie

Jakob and Marie held their wedding lunch reception on a beautiful sunny afternoon at the Regent,
and warm wishes were sent to them on video from Hong Kong, Switzerland, all around the globe.

Marie specially selected this version of the Wedding March to be played, a sweet classy version that Ein learnt in no time,

and specially dedicated
You Raise Me Up (by Josh Groban) to both their parents and
That's What Friends Are For to their friends for all the times they've shared together :)

It was especially sweet to have special songs dedicated to their friends and family,
it makes having a live band at the wedding even more meaningful! :)

Thanks to Cheong for the photos!
