TeckMing & Lynette's Wedding @ Regent Hotel
Vox: Dawn & Alfred Keys: Jordan
♥♥♥
Dear Kewei,
Please thank the bad, Dawn & Alfred and the keyboardist (sorry I did not manage to get his name), for the great performance on our wedding night.
Many of our guests commented on how much they loved the music, and Dawn and Alfred's singing. It all added to the atmosphere and truly helped maked the night unforgettable!
Godbless,
Lynette and TeckMing
♥♥♥
12 years. That's how long Kenny & Lynette had kept their relationship under wraps for because office romances were banned! I can only imagine how strong their love must be :) But all's well that ends well and the lovebirds are now joined in holy matrimony.
Lynette's godma delivered a most candid and touching speech as a twist on the usual speeches tradition, which goes to show how important it is to tweak traditon to your wedding! After the speeches, Lynette's cousin who was emcee for the night, demanded for a replay of the kissing of the bride for those to had missed the morning's church ceremony, to which the couple gamely complied to cheers from the crowd.
There was also an impromptu dance...
Best wishes to you both & thanks for having us!
xoxo,
Dawn
The American Association's 77th Annual George Washington Ball @ St Regis Hotel
A Night at the Apollo with the Super Supremes!
Live entertainment by Kewei Tay, and Ein Ein on piano!
This charity ball also held a silent auction and lucky draw to support Make-A-Wish Foundation in Singapore :)
They dressed up the St Regis ballroom so beautifully,
setting up a raised platform lining the walls,
which transformed the whole area into a grand show theatre!
Something for future wedding couples to think about! :)

Jeremy & Lynn's Wedding @ York Hotel
Vox: Dawn & Alfred
Keys: Ein Ein
Wow! My first Peranakan wedding! (So to speak.) It was a lovely sight to see the ladies in their traditional Peranakan garb. But my most vivid memory of this night was the tongue-in-cheek snippet of Lynn mimicking evil laughter at the start of the wedding video. Love how this couple took a fun and relaxed approach to their special day :)
Thanks for having us & happy marriage!
xoxo,
Dawn

Mr. Man's Birthday Celebrations @ Meritus Mandarin
When we performed at Ian's wedding some time back, he liked us so much that when his dad was to turn 60, he roped us in with the surprise celebrations!
Today's team:
Dawn on Vox
Ein on Keys
Lim Hui on Violin
Wah Yong on Upright Bass
Niq on Percussion
We learnt the Cantonese birthday song a.k.a. 祝寿歌 as the special entrance song to kick off the party. Lots of presents were given to Mr. Man during the course of the night as part of a very thoughtful program which included speeches from old friends and colleagues, some of whom have been working for Mr. Man for more than 20 years!
Happy birthday Mr. Man from all of us at Yours Truly!

Matthew & Clarice's Wedding @ Conrad
Dawn on Vox
Ein on Keys
Jon on Sax
Kitty as Emcee
Gong Xi Gong Xi!!! Chinese New Year is fast approaching and today was my last wedding gig for the Year of the Ox. Superstition predicts that the Year of the Tiger will see fewer weddings, but I personally believe that there's more to a good wedding date than the year. (It seems that my Zodiac sign is suited for marriage this year, *WAHAHAHA*, but no no, not for me :P)
Before the year is up, let's take a look at Matthew and Clarice's wedding shall we?
First dish of the night was... LOU HEI!!! Matthew and Clarice *bless their hearts* saved us seats so we could join in the festivities.
Jon & Ein sure look like they're enjoying themselves with wooden chopsticks in hand
Kitty brought the dinner guests through the steps, explaining the significance of each ingredient for the benefit of the couple's non-Chinese friends.
Kitty looking less enthused cos she missed out on the tossing! *joke*
What I really liked about the evening tho, were the confetti tubes that were fired during the second march-in. These babies were solid 15 inch long red & white striped tubes that shot up plumes of rainbow confetti. I tried to get a shot of the action but my stubby fingers were too slow. So here's a shot of the confetti lying on the ground.
Solid right?
Thank you Matthew & Clarice for having us. I particularly enjoyed Matthew's dad's speech!
xoxo,
Dawn

Darren & Andrea's Wedding Celebrations @ Shangri-La Hotel
It was a family affair at the Shangri-La Hotel! Yours Truly had 2 teams at this venue today.
YT1 (not very original, I know -.-)
Dawn on Vox
Matthew on Keys
Selwyn on Violin
YT2
Alfred & Christina on Vox
James on Keys
Lim Hui on Violin
Birds of a feather flock together
So we mucked around with the timer function on my camera...
Argh!!!
Ah...
Our team played to a massive ballroom with almost 70 tables! But it was heaps fun :)
YT1 with Darren & Andrea
But the highlight of the evening was definitely when Darren & Andrea teamed up to do a special song for their guests.
Darren & Andrea performing Frank Sinatra's classic, "Fly Me to the Moon"
Don't they look sweet? OK all together now, "Awwww..."

Stephanie & Rayner's Wedding @ Shangrila Tower Ballroom
YT Team 2!
Christina & Alfred on vox
James on piano
Lim Hui on violin
From Christina:
Thanks to Alfred, James and Limhui, my virgin experience gigging for Yours Truly was fun and memorable. The 'seniors' were quick to show me the ropes and we clicked instantly! T
The wedding guests were really supportive with lots of dedications, and it was really good to see people stopping in the middle of their feasting to applaud for us, which was definitely encouraging!
To add to the fun, Dawn, Matthew and Selwyn were just right next door and we manage to squeeze in some camwhoring time. So much joy and love in the air ;p
The highlight of the night was definitely when our bride and groom were hoisted on stage to perform not 1, not 2, but 3 songs!
Totally unrehearsed, the couple sang like pros and brought the evening to a beautiful end.
I'm so glad I was part of the lovely event and helped to make the wedding extra special for everyone. :)
