It was the first time I dressed up specially for Halloween,

Dear Clement and Joey,

My pleasure!!!!!!! We had such a good time at your wedding, and I must say out of the hundreds of weddings i've been to, it was one of the most fun ones!

Photobucket

Your pictures were absolutely lovely, super creative and beautiful.. and I love how you transformed the reception area into almost an art gallery, with the sleek classic photoframes, and your cocktail band was the cutest! i love the way they dressed!

Awesome photos by John Heng! (ps. who doesn't specialise in wedding photography only..)

i was fascinated by the R2D2 robot, the different costumes roaming around, it was so much fun... and your march in*, your speech, your best man's speech, i laughed so loudly i think the table in front of us must have thought "how unlady-like and uncouth of the singer!" which i seriously felt so, decked in a KILL BILL outfit.

i usually have to wear a pretty dress and behave like a lady while singing, but this time i was having fun brandishing a sword singing L-O-V-E.

Selwyn my violinist already posted our pictures on facebook, you can add us at http://www.facebook.com/yourstruly.sg

Definitely hope to see your photos soon!!! Wanna post on our blog too :)

Cheers!
Kewei

*Clem+Joey's march in was led by a remote-controlled R2D2, and followed by 8 Storm Troopers!

Photobucket

He even invited a group of professional Wondergirls to dance NOBODY!
Photobucket
(correction from Clement:
the wondergirls item is actually a friend “sponsored” item… lead dancer is a buddy’s wife, the nice couple wanted to give us a cool wedding gift, they know I love the wondergirls…. So she, a professional dancer herself, roped in 4 more dancer buddies, and put up the item.. we are so thankful for these great friends!! =)

Hey kewei

Really really thanks again..

Everything came together nicely in the end.. mad mad rush for us… it was a very last min planned weddin… we had 6 months to plan..

But lucky for us.. all key players were available... key meaning. Bridal designer, hotel availability, the critical date! .. and… your band was still available!! =) phewwwwwwwww!!

The exhibition idea was also a “last minute no other way of doing it” option.. cos we only took those pics .. just 2 weeks before the dinner..and no time was left to make an album!

And than…u guys coming sportingly in costume..!! I tell u … the impact is tremendous!! we r seriously very very grateful!!

You guys contributed to the whole whimsical mood that we wanted to achieve…

We got many comments that the band was awesome.. my only learning point on looking back.. should have placed u guys on higher stage!!

With all the dress up..its a pity that we didn’t push u fellows more in the limelight!! =(

And hey We’re glad u laughed uncouthly… hahah..it shows u enjoyed urself! Hope the rest of the band also had a ball of a time!

In short… it is very very important to us.. that everyone has a great time.. helpers… paid professionals.. everyone…

we’re very happy we engaged your services…happy not just for the quality of the singing and the band backup…

we’re happy cos you guys are terrific people to work with… its not just another paid job to us…we’re glad we to know u guys …it certainly goes beyond a working relationship..=)

personally .. I’m always interested in party planning ..So I know what it takes to be a good performer and u guys aced it…I have deep respect for you guys doing the things u do… great job!

Ok.. long email already…sorry… I tend to go on and on…

Yes.. lets hook up …. Fb. Email… blogs..

Will be delighted to know you guys willl wanna feature ur performance at our wedding in ur blog.. its an honour!

We ‘ll still be fixing up an post album.. somewhat different from the usual too. Cos we’re using this post wedding relaxed time to do one where we get to feature and thank everyone involved…

You guys included.. so one day when free.. we might ask u guys to join us for a group photoshoot.. its going to appear at the back pages….ala b/w photography style.. Portraits..if time permits.. .. maybe even styled costumed ones in unusual settings something like what we did for our pre wedding.. hahahah =)

Thanks again!

Cheers!

Clem + joey!

Cream & Chong Beng's ROM @ Laguna Golf Club

Cream and Chong Beng broke the record for booking a live band for their wedding at the 11th hour!

They called on Friday for their lunch ROM on Sunday,
but we quickly got our act together and even learnt a special song for them :)

I've never been to a Golf Club before, let alone for a wedding gig!

Photobucket

i love how they did the outdoor 'aisle'. i would love to have a wedding like that. It's all about the decoration skills, you can turn a golf club into a fairytale-like wedding.

It was my first time singing at an outdoor environment like this and it was very refreshing! The theme song for the couple was 'Till the end' and it's actually written by a local singer/songwriter named David Tan! Great song, very touching and easy to remember too.

Sue Ann & Chris's Wedding at Raffles Hotel, The Lawn

Photobucket
Junedy on harp, Christian on sax
Kewei on vocals

Sue Ann & Chris's tea-ceremony was held amidst the lush greenery of Raffles Hotel,
just before they headed upstairs to the ballroom for their banquet.

Photobucket

We entertained their guests at The Lawn with the sounds of the harp, erhu, and saxophone and even attracted many passers-by to venture into the Lawn to stop and listen!

Photobucket

It was a beautiful evening as we witnessed the sun set slowly from till the cool of the night descended upon us...

Weili & Adrian's Wedding @ Regent Hotel

Hi Kewei,

Thanks for the wonderful performance during the wedding lunch. We received very postitive feedback and have a few friends who asked about engaging your services! Just dropping a note to tell you that you added sparkle to the event! Thanks and good luck to your future undertakings!

xoxo
Weili & Adrian

Weili and Adrian's cosy lunch wedding was held at Regent Hotel, Tanglin Room,
which was lovely because the entire room was filled with sunlight on their big day :)

We specially played the songs Overjoyed by Stevie Wonder, and I Won't Dance, Taking A Chance On Love by Jane Monheit upon special request, and also one of Weili's favourite - 每天爱你多一些 by Jacky Cheung!

Much love, wishing you a little more love everyday!

Ker Yee & Shu Fen's Wedding @ Capella, Sentosa

Photobucket

Photobucket

Ker Yee and Sally's wedding was such a beautiful affair at the NEWEST hotel in town!

The harp trio was placed strategically in the middle of the ROUND BALLROOM,
right at the edge of the circular dance floor,
and when we started playing,
i felt MAGIC in the air.

Photobucket

It was a magical moment to be singing in the middle of the ballroom,
surrounded by the guests,
who could watch the beautiful harpist Junedy in action at such close proximity,
and it was such an elegant touch to the wedding!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Ker Yee and Ginny hit it off so well together
that Ginny helped in giving them several ideas,
including the contact to the DanceSport experts Shawn and Gladys!

The couple gamely took lessons just to perfect a beautiful dance during their dinner! :)

Video to be uploaded soon!

Kitty was also the emcee for the night,
here's a sneak at her bubbly and infectious style of hosting the Yum Seng session!

Mr Go's Birthday Celebration @ Les Amis

Photobucket
Feri on guitar, Ein on keys
Dawn on vocals

OMG! I can't believe I haven't posted photos from this very memorable birthday celebration of Mr. Go at Les Amis! Firstly, may I say that Mr. and Mrs. Go have kept themselves very well! I shall not divulge Mr. Go's age here, but it was definitely one of life's great milestones ;) And secondly, let's get to the party!

Photobucket

Big thanks to LiveStudios for the the photographs from that evening. They very kindly sifted through TONS of photos taken that evening for these wonderful shots posted here. Love the colour saturation and camera angles. Don't you think they've captured the joy of the evening very well?

Photobucket

Accompanying me that night were Ein Ein on keyboard and Feri on guitar. At the birthday boy's (he reminds me of Peter Pan! Always young :D) request, we played his favourite song I'm Yours (Jason Mraz) three times!

Photobucket

Hey, it's his birthday and he can do what he wants to :P. Besides, we certainly had fun doing that song too :).

Emily & Alex's Wedding @ Hyatt

Photobucket
Dawn on vocals, with Kangyang on guitar and Ivan on sax

What an awesome night!

As most of you reading would know, the seventh lunar month is generally considered an inauspicious month, which in turn translates into fewer weddings.

Alex & Emily's wedding last night was my first post seventh month wedding performance and it was definitely a good restart to the rest of the year.

Photobucket

I'll tell you a secret, I've never played at the Hyatt prior to last night.
But after last night's experience, I've definitely become a fan!
Walking into the Grand Ballroom on level 2, I was immediately put at ease by the atmostphere. But of course, what could be more important to our band than sound?
Long story short, I was loving the ballroom's sound system and from the crowd's reaction, I could tell that they were loving it too.

Photobucket

We had an inkling from Alex & Emily's song choices that they were definitely a funky couple.
But I was nonetheless struck by the bride's choice of a bright orange/black bare-back gown. Emily told me that she wanted something different and I think she definitely hit the right chord with that gutsy number!

Photobucket

We rocked to songs from Greenday (Good Riddance - Time of Your Life), Bryan Adams (Heaven) and Utada Hikaru (First Love) among others, in addition to some song requests of traditionally popular ditties like Wonderful Tonight and 甜蜜蜜.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Thank you Alex & Emily for having us be part of your special night, and also thank you to your wonderful crowd with their enthusiastic response and many many many requests!

Dedication slips by Yours Truly

We really enjoyed ourselves last night and hope all your guests did too.
Happy marriage!

Many thanks to Kelvin Joshua Lim of Avenue8 for your lovely pictures and compliments!

It's always a pleasure to work with them, I still remember meeting Kelvin for the first time at Chijmes, at CK and Michelle's wedding more than a year ago.

What a delightful coincidence! Looks like I'm a fan of yourstruly now more
than ever. haha ...
Hello Kewei, it's been a while! Hope to hear more of the
