Pauleon & Cailing's Wedding @ Grand Copthorne Waterfront

Kexin on Vox
Daniel on Guitar

Pauleon & Cailing's wedding dinner was a BLAST!
Dedications kept coming in, the guests were crazy and most importantly, they loveee seeing the couple make a fool out of themselves on stage! hahah

SABO 1: Pauleon to sing lang hua yi duo duo for Cailing
Photobucket
Daniel gamely played the song and Pauleon was making up words as he sang along to the tune. At the end of the song, a lil' boy decided to come and stage and Pauleon asked what he wanted to sing. Somehow, the lil' boy led everyone into singing a worship song, along with daniel's accompaniment. It was truly a very touching moment listening to the whole ballroom resound with the heartfelt tune of "Great of our God".

SABO 2 & 3: Pauleon's cell group members gave him a choice between singing a duet with Cailing and dancing along to Wondergirls' "Nobody".
The guests ultimately came up with a collective decision to make him do both!
The highlight came when Pauleon got his friends on stage to teach him the cutesy steps to the chorus of "Nobody"!
I must say these wonderboys were fantastic, perhaps even sexier than the wondergirls themselves!

Dedications were aplenty for the night..

i love how creative some of them can get...

Official Launch of Great Singapore Sale 2010

Sam and Clarence, for the first time, performed at Orchard Road!
I mean, how often do we get to do that?

Clarence on guitar

We were thrilled when we heard that we were going to be part of the opening of the Great Singapore Sale. With the opening of new malls like Somerset 313 and Ion Orchard, GSS 2010 definitely entails more than what we had in the previous years!

Despite the heat, we had a blast crooning to an enthusiastic crowd there, not to mention tourists dancing to our tunes. Singaporeans belong to the passive sort, so most of them just stared at the three caucasian babes as if they were crazy.

I say, we gotta loosen up people! it's time to SHOP till you DROP!

Kevin & Joan's Wedding @ Ritz Carlton

Kexin on Vox
Shawn on Drums
August on Piano
Colin on Double Bass

It wasn't my first time at the Ritz Carlton and i knew it was going to be fun with a full band's backing!

We were placed right on stage, facing a strong crowd of 70 tables..
With such a large crowd, it was only understandable that the bride & groom be swarmed by the buzzing atmosphere.. afterall, it is their night!

But what struck me particularly hard and made me feel all warm & fuzzy inside as a wedding singer was when i sang the song "Way Back into Love", dedicated by Kevin's brother.
I always made it a point to read out my messages when the couple is seated at their table so that they could feel the love from their friends & family members.
But i had never met any groom half as sweet as Kevin! He literally shifted his chair to face me and smiled so hard throughout the song i swear i couldn't see his eyes! hahaha

That, really really made me feel very touched ((:

Everybody loves a bit of shanghai jazz!

Thank you Kevin & Joan for being soo accommodating,
I'm glad I was part of your great day ((:
Wishing you happiness always!

It was a lovely lunch affair at the Four Seasons Hotel (:

Pretty floral decor for a perfect sunday afternoon...

Flower bouquets on the VIP tables (:

The couple must have been fans of instrumental music for they had specially requested for "Say Yes" by Chage & Aska, to be played by the piano & saxophone only, during their first march-in (:

The band and I also performed a spiritually uplifting song, Love's funny that Way by Tina Arena to accompany their video montage.

Thank you Hong Meng & Yan Bing for the wonderful afternoon!
p.s: we love your strawberry bar! haha

Blog Comment by guest Rum:

Hey Peeps!

I was there at Shawn & Faylene's wedding and was truly enjoying the music that you guys and gals are bringing to us!! Keep it going!! =)

HELLO to all things dreamy and perfect, hello once again to the joys of wedding singing, happy faces, gorgeous couples and heartfelt eardrum-bursting YUMSENGS,
I am finally back after 5 months of psuedo-studying/holidaying in the states!

Just when i thought i had lost that special touch to wedding singing,
the night at Shawn & Faylene's wedding brought me right back on track!
The audience was soo appreciative that they applauded almost after every song,
some even sang along enthusiatically (I remember it was a lady from Table 10!) and that really made my night (:

check out the romantic spotlight

The song choice for the march-in was also one of the coolest i've ever done before,
but of course i am being biased because i am an absolute Robin Thicke fan!

His smothering sexy voice sizzles up the song like none-other, so here you go, the first march-in song for the night; The Sweetest Love

The next march-in song was yet another tune by the sexy Diana Krall, S'Wonderful

It was truly a wonderful night with the great band (: It's amazing how a guitar, a bass and a keyboard can make magic and for that one and half hour, i was immersed in pure musical bliss.

Pardon me for being overly emotional but wedding singing is a passion that i had not been in touch with for wayy too long!

So a BIGG THANK YOU Shawn and Faylene for having me on your wedding night (:

More to come and I'm lovin' it!

Matthew & Nyx's Wedding @ Sheraton Towers

Photobucket
Dawn and Leon on vox
Ein on keys

I was really glad to be part of Matthew & Nyx's wedding, I must say they are a tall tall couple.

We performed on a separate stage with Ein Ein on Keyboard, Dawn & Myself on Vocals.

It was my 4th time performing at Sheraton Towers for a wedding but I must say everyone of them are unique to itself, the couple had decided to share with the guests a list of pre-selected songs that represented their romantic evening.

The couple performed "Come What May" to commence the nights dinning. Thereafter, we performed "All I Ask of you" from the Phantom of Opera which is really a wonderful number.

Nyx surprised the guests as well as the audience with her version of "Nobody but you" dance with her sisters which really lighten up the crowd.

Of course the band did not forget the classic "Moon over my heart", "Forever Love", "I'm Yours" etc ...

They look so beautiful together, a Lawyer & a Speech Therapist ... I can only foresee them having wonderful years ahead waiting for them!

Thank you Matthew & Nxy and wishing you always loving!

Cheers,
Leon

Patrick & Elle's Wedding @ Windsor Ballroom, Goodwood Park Hotel

Photobucket
Kewei on vox,
Daniel on guitar
James on bass
Shawn on drums

Patrick really wanted me to sing for his wedding, and luckily another event was called off so I could be available for his big night! He was very appreciative of the band, and thanked us during his speech, that I always am very grateful for!

He had left his songlist in my hands, so I took the liberty to pick some songs that were less common - some party tunes like Copacabana by Barry Manilow, and sweet pop stuff like Your Body is A Wonderland by John Mayer.

Especially since he engaged a full band with drums, I could really rock those groovy tunes!

We also specially sung the favourite Hokkien classic 家后, and even sung it one more time during the encore!

Would also like to thank Jeremy especially for taking such great care of us! :)
