It was a really pleasant experience singing for Kern-Ahn and Yin Fong's wedding dinner because of yuanyin's hospitality!
She was so accommodating and always looking our for James' and my welfare... I was sincerely very touched by her little gestures! kern-ahn is so lucky to have such a good wedding coordinator/sister!
One thing very special about the night was Kern-Ahn's singing.
Like other grooms, he chose to belt out Yin Fong's favourite song, 一首簡單的歌 by 王力宏. Yin Fong had requested for the song when Kern-Ahn proposed, but he didn't know the lyrics then... So, very sneakily, he arranged a secret session with James to practice the song just for his wife on their wedding dinner, in an attempt to make up for the previous blunder.
So all was going well until Yin Fong's dress zipper broke.. Kern Ahn wanted to cancel his song segment due to time constraint but veryvery fortunately, the MCs managed to persuade him to go along with his plan.. and so he did!
Oh, and did i mention that Kern-Ahn was a fantabulous singer? I was seriously so shocked by his professionalism that i even asked Yuan Yin if he was vocally trained. And guess what guys, it's pure talent he did not pick up singing from anyone else!!
Yuan Yin even joked to Kern-Ahn at the end that Yours Truly wants to recruit him as our new member... trust me, I'm sure we wouldn't mind!! wahaha
The repertoire for the night was mainly shanghai jazz and oldies.. we also sang Two Sleepy People for their second march-in.. a really sweet and dreamy number (:
Thank you so much Yuanyin, Kern Ahn and Yin Fong for the wonderful night! I was really touched when Kern Ahn spoke during his speech.. I almost cried seeing Yuan Yin all happy and tearful as she watched the both you soak in heavenly bliss of love!!
And yes, yuan yin we will meet again.. there will be another session..... Your Wedding!
